We provide selected rescues with a tool they can use to engage existing donors and cultivate relationships with prospective donors. Chosen rescues are able to provide donors with an exclusive, unique and extraordinary opportunity to have their dog photographed by Andrew Grant and immortalized on a page of the next Rover book when they make a donation.
The Rover book opportunity, ancillary events, fundraisers and donated items for auctions and raffles have generated donations of over $3 million to over twenty five deserving rescues across the country.
We're most proud of the fact that RoverWorks.org has bridged countless relationships between deserving rescues and generous donors which often live on for many years.
The rescues we choose to benefit are some of the most effective organizations in the country. Some find a home for several thousand homeless cats and dog each year! Their comprehensive spay and neuter programs will eventually prevent millions of animals from ever entering a shelter or being euthanized.
Overcoming the "shelter pet stigma"
All dogs, even those that weren't "rescued" are welcome in Rover. However, because most of the dogs featured in Rover once lived in a rescue or shelter, we discredit the stigma of shelter pets by beautifully illustrating that there are smart, healthy, fun, loving dogs available for adoption everywhere.
Media & awareness
Rover media coverage enables selected rescues to highlight their services, generate donations, recruit volunteers in the community and place pets in forever homes.
Donated books
Since 2009, we’ve also over 1,000 copies of Rover to animal organizations which they can sell, auction or raffle for fundraising or use to promote the Rover opportunity to existing and prospective donors.

Nominate your favorite rescue
Please contact us if you would like to recommend a rescue or nominate your own. Please note, we primarily focus on organizations with a comprehensive spaying and neutering program already in place or those launching a capital fundraising campaign for a spay and neuter facility, program or vehicle.
