Calling all dogs!
Does your dog stop traffic and melt hearts? We host several Rover casting call fundraisers per year around the country. One lucky dog from each event is selected to be photographed in a local studio by Andrew Grant and featured on a page in the next edition of Rover. A $10,000 value.
Big crowds
Rover casting calls draw hundreds of pet lovers and their beautiful and unique dogs. This provides the benefiting local rescue with an opportunity to raise money, promote the importance of spaying and neutering pets, the wonderful work they do in the community and the challenges they face.
Entertainment
Attendees are able to have their dogs groomed and enjoy a variety of activities often including food trucks, donated beverages, pet caricature artists, dog training exhibitions and more before they're able to present their dog to the judges.
Fundraising
All vendors are asked to donate a portion of their proceeds during the event to the local rescue. In addition, all of the proceeds from admission fees are also directed to the benefitting rescue.
Raffles & silent auctions
Local businesses are asked to donate goods and services that are included in a raffle and or silent auction. All proceeds are donated to the local shelter. Contact us if you are a vendor who would like to donate pet-friendly products to an upcoming event.
Media coverage
Hundreds of dogs and their caretakers provide media with a fun, heartwarming and photogenic story. The media has also been very instrumental in promoting past events helping to draw big crowds which results in meaningful amount of money raised for the local rescue.
Host benefits
Rover casting call events are typically hosted at wineries, country clubs and home decor stores. Hosts typically offer to donate a percentage of the sales from the day to the benefiting rescue.
Rescue benefits
The benefiting rescue is able to bring adoptable cats and dogs to the event, connect with prospective donors and promote the good work they do.
Promotional costs
The cost associated with advertising and promoting the events are absorbed by RoverWorks.org, the host and local donors. The rescue does not incur any expense and are only asked to have a representative(s) at the event.
Photoshoot following event
The selected winner(s) will be invited to the photo studio for a sitting within days following the event in their area.
Book and Paw signings at fine retailers
Andrew Grant and Amanda Hedlund are available for book signing events once the most recent Rover book is released. Local dogs may also be in attendance for a Paw Signing on their portrait featured in Rover.
